Grand Theft Auto VI Cover and Pre-Order Date Revealed in New Viral Video Months Before Release

Video game fans were given a treat on Thursday morning, as the official cover art for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI was unveiled. In addition to releasing the cover art, Rockstar Games announced that pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI will begin on June 25, ahead of the Nov. 19 release date. Grand Theft Auto VI will be the eighth installment of the legendary video game series, and it's the first release since GTA V dropped in 2013. The game has been in development for a number of years, and its release date has already been delayed twice. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently spoke to The School of Hard Knocks on TikTok and confirmed that GTA VI is still on track for a Nov. 19 release. "The team at Rockstar really does seek to do something that's never been done before. That's really hard, and it takes a long time," he said (h/t Eddie Makuch of GameSpot.com). Josh Chapman of Konvoy estimated that GTA VI will sell 25 million copies on its launch day alone. He added that Take-Two will likely break even on its $2 billion investment into the game. Longtime video game fans are inching closer to finally getting to experience the newest edition of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, and Thursday's cover art reveal will only generate more excitement for those looking to pre-order the game next week before it officially drops this fall.
