Insider: Internal battles rage within Michigan Democratic Party

Heated primary races this summer are creating rifts within the Michigan Democratic Party that might last beyond the Aug. 4 election. On the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Hillary Scholten of Grand Rapids didn't answer directly during a CNN appearance Wednesday whether she would support Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed of Ann Arbor if he wins the party's primary.
